BBC supergroup cover ‘God Only Knows’ for Children In Need

27 artists from a variety of genres have joined together with the BBC Concert Orchestra to perform a cover of Beach Boys’ classic hit God Only Knows for charity.

The supergroup, which features musicians such as Pharrell Williams, Kylie Minogue, Elton John and One Direction, was formed in secret by the BBC to help raise money for Children In Need.

The broadcast company say that the song ‘represents the talent, diversity and musical passion found every single day throughout the BBC’.

A similar project was formed back in 1997, when a group of artists including David Bowie and Bono covered Lou Reed’s ‘Perfect Day’.

Other artists featured on the new song are Sam Smith, Jake Bugg, Stevie Wonder, Brian Wilson and Coldplay’s Chris Martin.
